Linda studied at University College Dublin and began her career as a secondary school teacher. She took time out to concentrate on being a full-time mother but was happy to return to the workplace as a volunteer in a day-care centre for older adults with intellectual disabilities.
Inspired and encouraged by the people she was working with, Linda went on to study for and receive a diploma in Social Care from the National University of Ireland, Galway. In addition to her volunteer work, Linda has worked as a carer in a nursing home with Alzheimer’s and dementia patients and in a community house for adults with intellectual disabilities and challenging behaviours.
In more recent times, Linda has used her knowledge and experience to train other carers. Linda is convinced that excellence in care begins with excellent training and support for carers. She is passionate about teaching and delivering programmes that will give carers the skills and supports they need to provide the highest quality of care to each and every one of their end-users. Linda has worked with Frontline Training since our inception in 2011
